Information Collection & Use
Registration is not required In order to use this Web site. However, registration is required in order to subscribe and receive services.
Registration information for subscription services will not be shared with any entities outside of the Shop for Society family of websites and programs.
Users registered for the Desktop Alert Program will receive a download link for a custom Toolbar that no other individual, nor entity, other than Option to Profit personnel will have access to use or access.
In the event that a user makes online purchases using an ACS Consulting Toolbar, the only information that we require is your net purchase amount and the retail store where the purchase was made, in the event that a purchase is made with the OTP Toolbar. Toolbar All other items are optional.
If you do choose to provide contact information (such as name and e-mail address) we may use this information to contact you about your submission. Additionally, if you provide an e-mail address, you will receive an automated confirmation of any transactions that you reported to our site.
In case of any discrepancy between your reported purchase price and that reported to us by the retailer, we will contact you via e-mail if clarification is necessary.

Shop for Society does not require personally identifiable information from our users who are submitting their purchase activity. Potentially sensitive information, such as social security number (SSN) or Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) will never be requested on our site.
If you submitted a purchase order to one of our affiliated retailers we do not request personally identifiable information from you on our Submission form. You may choose to provide your e-mail address, but it is completely at the discretion of the user.
If you provided an e-mail address a confirmation of your submission will be sent to you via e-mail.
No personally identifying information, nor financial information, such as credit card number, is forwarded to us by the retailer. The retailer may provide us with information regarding the items purchased, but no other personally identifying information
If you provided an e-mail address we may use this information if there is a discrepancy between your submission data and the activity report submitted to us by the retailer.
Additionally, if you contacted us via e-mail and provided any other contact information, such as telephone number, we may use that information to contact you. That information will not be shared with any other parties.
If you are the individual coordinating a fundraising campaign we may use the information that you provided to us to contact you. We will not disclose that information to any other parties.
The Submission Form that must be completed in order to credit your charity or organization has only two required fields. You must report the retailer and the net amount of your purchase. All other fields are optional. However, in order to credit an organization with your purchase, it is highly advised that you indicate your favored organization.
Additionally, an indication of your school or university, if applicable, will allow us to better focus our marketing efforts and assess their performance. However, that field is also optional.
The Fundraiser Application, if any, contains request for information that is required to establish validity of the organization and identification of a responsible individual at that organization. Potentially sensitive information will not be requested on the web site.
OTP-AAPD Activity Form
Any information that you provide regarding portfolio activity is stored in secure servers.
Excel spreadsheets that you submit to us with your baseline portfolio holdings are stored on local workstations and may be updated with information that you submit to us on your OTP-AAPD Activity Form.
Social Security Numbers or Taxpayer Identification Numbers
We will never require your social security number to credit your designated organization with your purchase from a retailer. The retailer will never forward personally identifying information to us.
In the case of organizations for which we participate in their fundraising activities, we will require identifying information, such as Taxpayer Identification Numbers, in order to make appropriate payments. However, these sensitive materials will not be solicited through the website. This information is only necessary for organizations that do not have tax exempt status, if the referral commission amount is equal to or exceeds $600 in any calendar year.
Surveys or Contests
From time to time we may we may provide you the opportunity to participate in surveys on our site. If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you, therefore, have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and e-mail address).
We will never use a third party service provider to conduct these surveys or contests. We will not share the personally identifiable information you provide through a survey with other third parties unless we give you prior notice and choice.
Uses of Information
We use this information to modify our site to better meet the needs of the individuals using it. We utilize your contact information to obtain greater detail about your suggestions by directly contacting you in response to your suggestions, if you have provided such approval.
Communications from the Site
Communications from the site are limited and are undertaken only in the following situations.
Alerts will be sent either through the Toolbar or cellphone, depending on the subscription plan.
If you contacted us via e-mail we will use the personally identifying information that you sent us in order to contact you. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request. We will communicate with you by e-mail or telephone, in accordance with your wishes.
OTP or OTP-AAPD Toolbar Communication
If you have chosen to download any of the OTP Toolbars, you may receive up to 3 daily alerts directly to your desktop. You have the option of disabling the alert function. However, if you do so, you are unable to receive subscription services.
Additionally, the OTP Toolbar has a "Messages Center", where messages may be sent to the entire community or to individuals.
For OTP-AAPD Toolbar users, messages are only accessible to the individual subscriber or their assignees.
We do not store information that we collect through cookies, log files, clear gifs, [and/or third party sources] to create a â€œprofileâ€ of your preferences. We do not tie your personally identifiable information, nor your purchasing history, to information in the profile, in order to provide tailored promotions and marketing offers and to improve the content of the site for you.
We do not share your limited information or profile with other third parties. We may share your profile in aggregate form only in the case of a special fundraiser or to create an investing profile of an affinity group. That information will be limited to disclosing the number of individual purchase or sales orders that were made. The individuals, nor their e-mail address, if provided to us, will not be disclosed.
Supplementation of Information
We will never supplement the personal information you submitted to us with information from third party sources. We will not perform Credit Checks, Address verifications nor purchase marketing data from third parties.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
We may share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our fundraising partners or subscription base. This information does not identify individual users. The data sharing is limited to reporting the number of individual purchase or portfoliio orders that were submitted in support of a focused fundraising activity or portfolio activity.
We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.

If you are subscribed to the Text Message Alert Service you must accept Text Messages.
If you are subscribed to the Desktop Alert you must accept up to 3 daily desktop alerts.
As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
We do not link this automatically collected data to personally identifiable information.
